From Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley, they all sung the same song, prior to their encounter with Pacman. And the title of that song was: “I will shock the world on fight night.” This Pacquiao-Mosley bout was so hyped to the max by the U.S. promoter, as gleaned from ticket sales, and by telling Mosley that he is in, for a great upset in the boxing history. As an independent boxing observer, I believed that some people around Mosley, who may benefit monetarily in this coming fight, were giving their ward, the false impression that he has a good chance of beating Pacman. No way! Yes, Mosley has the speed and power. But his punches can be seen by Pacquiao because Mosley has this habit of tilting to his left before throwing a left hook, or tilting to the right before throwing a right hook. The movement of Mosley’s shoulders could be easily read by Pacquiao, thereby unleashing his own combos with impunity. Pacman will KO Mosley in 6th.

The strategy taught by Richardson to Mosley is only one: land as many punches as you can, non-stop! I think this kind of game-plan is only feasible in the first three rounds or so, after that, Mosley will be so tired and exhausted, becomes an easy target of Pacman. This strategy is only good if Mosley’s opponent is a lamp post. The footwork of Pacquiao would spell the difference. Mosley would be chasing Pacquiao all night, just to land as many punches as he can. This would eventually wreak-havoc on Mosley’s stamina. Pacquiao is highly mobile, at times, leaving powerful combinations to Mosley’s round face. Pacquiao should not attempt to knockout Mosley, so his dream bout with Mayweather would push through. If Manny kayoes Mosley, the gay-chicken would surely retire for good.

Like in my other post, U think this fight is going to be a lot closer then people are thinking. Mosely has a good chance of keeping this right down the middle, and if Pacman makes a mistake, Mosely is the person that dish out some punishment if he can take advantage of one. Maybe we will not only see sweat flying off of fighters, but some blood flyig in high definition, cause this is going to be a battle.

I don’t think that Mosely was a bad choice of a fighter, he is getting to be his twilight as a fighter but Mosely looks great, and has been a staple of boxing for a decade or soon now. If Pacquiao makes a mistake, Mosely can take advantage of it, and if that happens, it’s going to be a whole new ball game. It will be an uphill battle for him, Pacquiao is a legend and a great fighter. Even without the hype, its well worth my 64.99 for the high definition of the ppv, seeing how for the first time in many years working at DISH Network, I will not be on the phones during the fight, so I can sit down with my friends and enjoy the fight and be loud.

Boxing champions come and go, but am sure Manny Pacquiao, if he plays his card well, can still enjoy his laurels as a champion perhaps for years. He can be richer by millions if not billions of pesos in his colorful boxing career. I say so, because people around him could still sense the “fire and hunger” in his eyes in the first phase of his training in Baguio City. Team Pacquiao is carefully studying the boxing style of Shane, so Manny may not be caught with his pants down during fight night, so to speak. As an independent boxing observer, I believed Manny will win this fight with Mosley for these reasons: 1) Manny has footwork and lateral movements where he mounts his combo’s, while Mosley is not highly mobile. 2) The age-gap between the two boxers is a big factor, meaning the rigors of time may catch up with Mosley. The zest of fighting may still be in Mosley’s mind but not in his knees. 3) Pacquiao, may not always apply the frontal attack but can always side-step and mount his combos from the side, with lightning precision. Mosley is also fast but he can’t match the mobility of Manny. Good Luck Manny! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas, magkita tas Digos.

If Paquiao is in tip-top shape and in peak form during fight night, there’s no way Shane Mosley can win over him. We know Mosley has no footwork but Paquiao has. Mosley usually relies only on his lethal jab-straight combinations, but other than those, sorry to say that he will just be frustrated. Manny is highly mobile, and with his excellent footwork, he can dance his way all night after landing power shots on the face of Mosley. Mosley has no antidote for Paquiao’s mobility. I think Shane will be spending a lot of time chasing Manny hoping to corner the guy and unleash his own powerful combinations. But no coach can change a boxer’s style overnight, that’s for sure.

Try to name someone in the lower division.. 1 or 2 or maybe 3 division lower than middle weight..
And make a fight with Pacquiao.. Name anyone…
I promise I wouldn’t say that it would drain Pacquiao and he’s at disadvantage..
